The presentation was preceded by an agreement with Chris Craft to build 10 units to be sold by the prestigious US Shipyard\u00a0 under the name \u201cCommander 44\u201d. The\u00a0 cooperation with Chris Craft\u00a0 backs Fulvio di Simone\u2019s trendsetting design and has pushed the Shipyard into producing\u00a0 another 40\u2019model.<\/p>\n<p>The new Austin Parker 44\u2019 Sedan combines a modernised yacht with Austin Parker\u2019s classical good looks. It offers a choice of two engine types, the twin\u00a0 Cummins\u00a0 QSB 6.7\u00a0 on shafts or twin Volvo Penta D6 with IPS 600 Pods. The latter offers\u00a0 reduced fuel consumption and very easy handling. We were agreeably surprised by the new lay out with it\u2019s \u201c L\u201d shaped Galley on the Main Deck. This modification liberates considerable space inside the cabin on the lower deck giving\u00a0 the main deck a much more sociable ambiance. The space liberated under deck has been used to fit a second cabin and bathroom.
