A year ago today Austin Parker planned to build it\u2019s first Lobster Walk Around. Given the growth of this market segment in the last years, Gianni Caravagno designed this new model which he exhibited in Cannes 2018. \u00a0Based on the succesfull hull of the Austin Parker 42\u2019, the Pisa based ship yard centered its efforts in designing the main deck for day cruising and created a spacious and comfortable lay out with Austin Parker DNA.<\/p>\n
At Marivent Yachts, given our experience with this type of vessel and our close knit relationship with the boat builder, we put all our energy in the project.<\/p>\n
Austin Parker opened the possibility of personalising the Yacht for the more discerning buyers. The attention to detail\u00a0 and the level of superior quality finish guaranteed the interest of our clients. The first unit was designed in\u00a0 November 2018 and after several visits to the ship yard with the new owners, the yacht made its debut appearance at the Cannes Yacht Festival this September and enjoyed much attention at the Barcelona Boat Show.<\/p>\n
Equipped \u00a0with twin Cummins QSB 5.7 Engines \u00a0which achieve 550 Hp each, the owner opted for shaft drives, combined with Bow and Stern Thrusters. \u00a0This system incorporates a Cummins Joystick for relaxed \u00a0maneuvering \u00a0and berthing and still retains the simplicity of traditional shaft driven vessels. After laying back a few hundred miles and more than 100 hours on the engines in diverse sea conditions we can say that this new Austin Parker model has proven to be seaworthy and reliable. It displaces 16 Tons fully loaded and the fuel consumption is 110 litres per hour both engines at 2.400 RPM cruising at 24 Knots. The fuel capacity of 1.500 litres gives this yacht a \u00a0range of more than 300 nautical miles. In slight sea conditions you barely have to reduce speed and there is little or no spray\u00a0 on board.\u00a0 This engine system is optional, you can also choose transmission through Pods or even 3 outboard Engines. For the Outboard Version the Ship Yard use a different hull specifically designed for that purpose.<\/p>\n
The generous Center Console has 3 foldable Seats which enable you to stand or sit at the Helm. The visibility through the windscreen is more than satisfactory. The T-Top is joined to the windscreen adding \u00a0more wind protection. Austin Parker have also installed a central Galley console behind the driver seats that allows for easy and safe circulation on both sides \u00a0from bow to stern. The open deck circulation design is the main feature of this new model. \u00a0The configuration of the deck space seating areas and solariums is flexible and can be adapted to the buyers needs. To this date 3 different aft deck lay outs have been designed and 2 fore deck options. This gives you a wide range of possibilities to choose from.\u00a0 This key factor of the new Austin Parker project \u00a0enables you to design the deck lay out most adapted to your needs.<\/p>\n
On the inside we find a main cabin that can be configurated as a Saloon with a table which can be converted into a double bed\u00a0 or directly a double bed fixture.<\/p>\n
It is noticeable that the luminous main cabin has a ceiling height of 2 meters as does the Bathroom with separate shower compartment. Also the height of the second cabin attains 2 meters. You can sleep four adults comfortably in 2 double cabins.<\/p>\n
This Austin Parker is a very versatile vessel which can be equipped with everything necessary for day cruising as well as for spending a few nights on board comfortably. The aft storage area and the submersible Bathing Platform allow you to carry a\u00a0 dinghy of up to 3 meters length. This factor makes the vessel more practical and comfortable and extends the cruising possibilities. The Austin Parker 42\u2019 Walkaround is a Semi customized day boat with enhanced possibilities and incomparable style.<\/p>\n
